WHAT IS AN .MSI FILE?
In order to be able to use the .MSI file to install PocketBackup on your computer, you need to have the Microsoft Windows Installer to be set up on your system. This should be the case on most Windows XP computers.
An MSI file (filename.msi) is a relatively new packet file format that contains information and configurations for a software installation. If you execute and MSI file on your computer, the Microsoft Windows Installer is executed and installs the application automatically.

PocketBackup has been thoroughly tested with devices running Windows Mobile 2003 and Microsoft Active Sync version 3.8 and 4.1, as well as with devices running Windows Mobile 5 and ActiveSync 4.1. Since PocketBackup secures your data through the ActiveSync application, it should also work with every Windows Mobile device that is able to synchronize through ActiveSync.
