To synchronize is not enough!
Synchronizing your Windows Mobile device with your desktop PC puts the data on both computers to the same current state, but that is no replacement for a data backup. Even more important: If used incorrectly, synchronizing your devices can cause data that you accidentally deleted from one device also vanishes from the other and is then terminally lost!
